ADMISSION PROCEDURES / INFORMATION
The following procedures have been established for the benefit of new families entering CCA.
ADMISSIONS POLICY
Community Christian Academy admits students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded to or made available to students of the school. CCA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color or national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies and admission. By making application to the school, the parent is certifying that at least one parent in the home has a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and that he/she is in agreement with CCA’s Statement of Faith.
DOWNLOADS
APPLICATION
One application is to be completed for each child applying to CCA and mailed or hand delivered to the school with the following:
- Application Fee of $60 (non-refundable)
- Birth Certificate (official copy, not hospital certificate of birth)
- Immunization Certificate (on approved Kentucky form, must meet current state requirements and include an expiration date)
- School Medical Examination Form (physical examination must be performed by private physician using a state-approved form and must be within 6 months of child’s entering school)
- Eye exam by optometrist or ophthalmologist and on a Kentucky form
- Student report card from previous year, if applicable
ACADEMIC TESTING
Academic testing is required of students entering CCA. This testing is only a part of the criteria for admission and placement.
INTERVIEW
After the school receives a completed application, the principal will arrange for an interview with the parents.
Students in grades 5 and above may also be interviewed as well as a parent(s). Someone from the Admissions Committee may also be present during the interview. The interview is an opportunity to meet and discuss the parents’ goals and desires for the education of their child. It is the school’s opportunity to get to know the parent (and student) as well as a time for the parent to have questions answered.
NOTIFICATION OF ADMISSION
After the applicant’s file is evaluated, parents will receive notification (verbal and/or written) of the decision made regarding admission. In fairness to the student involved, Community Christian Academy shall not admit or retain upon discovery, any child, for whatever reason—mental, physical, or emotional—that the school is not properly equipped and staffed to teach.
PARENTAL ACCEPTANCE OF ADMISSION
When parents accept CCA’s offer of admission, it is made official upon payment of appropriate fees and by signing the Parental Agreement and Tuition Commitment Contract. No student is placed on a class roll until all appropriate fees are paid.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Once a parent has signed the Tuition Commitment Contract, the school commits to placing the student on a class roll and to ordering instructional materials for that student. The parent commits to full tuition for the entire school year for which admission has been granted.
Tuition paid in full on or before July 15 will be discounted approximately 6%. A 3% discount will be given when tuition for the first semester is paid in full by July 15. A 3% discount will be given for the second semester if paid in full by December 16. Tuition may be paid in 10 equal installments beginning in August and ending in May. Monthly tuition is due on the 1st and late after the 20th of each month. A late fee of $15 will be added to each account not paid by the 20th of each month and a $35 service fee will be charged for each returned check. Tuition is due on a monthly basis and in a timely manner.
