Assignments for week of August 30th **Field Trip Friday--DO NOT ORDER PIZZA
Bible
- Memory Books of NT (Matthew-II Thessalonians) by Friday
- Test Friday
Reading
- Students are required to read 15 minutes every night except Wednesday. Please sign reading log when your child has read.
- Each child must have 10 AR points every 9 weeks.
- Our comprehension strategy we will be practicing is Main Idea.
Spelling
Language
- We are working on writing a descriptive paragraph in class. Parents will need to proofread drafts that come home and final draft will be written in class.
History - We will be studying Pocahontas.
Health
- We are finishing Chapter 2--Exercise for Good Health
Math
- We are studying place value to the 100,000-graphs-and finishing chapter 1.
- Please check your child's math in the evenings so they will be prepared to practice that lesson independently the following day.
- Test on Chapter 1 Friday
Other
- Please remember to sign assignment book every night and check red folder daily.
- Drivers for our field trip on September 3 are Misty Adams, Russ Wilson, and Eden Michael. Please be here at 8:40 a.m.
- Students need to wear red/khaki on Friday and bring a sack lunch.
This is my 11th year teaching at CCA. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree at Murray State University. I have previously taught 4th, 1st, and kindergarten, and I am currently teaching 3rd grade.
I am married to Brian Green and we have one son, Casey. Brian is a high school teacher at Massac County and Casey is currently in 4th grade at CCA. In our spare time, we enjoy playing golf, walking, and just having family time!
