I am excited about computers!  We have new computer equipment and furniture in our computer lab because of a very generous donation given to the elementary school.  Pls. stop by & see our lab!  We are still working on converting computer programs & learning about & setting up our new equipment.

Our typing program is web based this year.  We access the internet log into our typing program & then take the keyboarding exercises.  I have told the students that this program is for school use.  I try to keep the students moving along together in the program.  It's not a race.  If your child feels they need additional typing help you might look at buying an inexpensive typing program for home.

5th grade computers:  Keyboarding, should ideally be a refresher.  We will work in Excel again & Powerpoint.  Of course we will use Word for typing reports, thus a jump drive is needed.

4th grade:  Keyboarding, again a refresher for the most part, building on accuracy & speed.  We will use Excel & Word.  A jump drive will be needed for reports in Ms. Ruoff's class.

3rd & 2nd grade:  Keyboarding and Word.

1st grade:  Stictly keyboarding.
